We would like to congratulate Professor Melissa Southey, on being awarded the Order of Australia Medal in recognition of her contributions to epidemiology and precision medicine. We are fortunate to have Professor Southey as the chair of our Strategic Advisory Group, who has been invaluable in leading the strategic direction and priorities of the VCB. Professor Southey has made immensely valuable contributions to diagnostic and research settings in Australia and internationally, with a particular focus on the common cancers utilising PEDIGREE's mature population-based studies and the application of new genetic technologies.
